About StartHealth
StartHealth is a physician-led occupational healthcare service for office and knowledge work. We serve Helsinki and remote teams throughout Finland.
About us
Occupational healthcare, built to make sense.
StartHealth is a physician-led occupational health service that combines medical quality, digital accessibility, and understanding of everyday business needs.
StartHealth originated from observations we made while closely following the daily lives of startup entrepreneurs and small businesses. For many, organizing occupational health appeared difficult and unclear – even in situations where the entrepreneur or employer was a healthcare professional themselves.

How we work together
1. Needs and offer
Share employee count and work context. Our team reviews your company’s needs and prepares an offer. The offer confirms scope, boundaries and any additional costs.
2. Contract and kickoff
Sign electronically. A responsible physician is named in the contract. Service typically starts in 1–7 days, depending on when the kickoff meeting is arranged.
3. Workplace assessment and action plan
Workplace assessment usually includes a workplace visit; part can be remote for office work. The action plan is completed within two weeks of the assessment.
4. Communication and follow-up
Book through the site’s employee booking link. Chat and messages use the service portal; StartHealth has no app of its own. Employer reporting is annual. New employees are added the same day. StartHealth’s notice period is three months.
Editorial responsibility
StartHealth is responsible for its service descriptions. Co-founders Valtteri Järvenpää and Jussi Kurikka are physicians. These new commercial pages do not claim separate clinical review. Changed guides receive a review claim only after an actual review; consult official guidance at its original source.
