StartHealth originated from observations we made while closely following the daily lives of startup entrepreneurs and small businesses. For many, organizing occupational health appeared difficult and unclear – even in situations where the entrepreneur or employer was a healthcare professional themselves.

Frequently asked questions about occupational health
Statutory occupational health care is an employer obligation in Finland. It covers preventive measures such as workplace assessment, risk evaluation, and an action plan. It does not include medical treatment, but employers can extend the service as needed.
Our service is designed for SMEs with 1–200 employees, especially growth-minded companies doing knowledge work such as IT, expert and office work. We serve companies in Helsinki, and nationwide through remote services.
Gross monthly pricing depends on the package and billable headcount. Your offer confirms boundaries and any setup, assessment, device or per-use extras. Kela does not refund a flat percentage of the entire subscription: eligible prevention is 60% and eligible medical care 50%, subject to conditions and eligible-cost caps.
Remote appointments are available quickly, often within a couple of business days. In urgent cases, we aim to arrange an appointment the same business day. Our remote services enable flexible and fast access to care.
Reimbursement depends on eligible costs and conditions; an offer does not guarantee Kela approval. The latest ceilings checked on 26 October 2026 concern 2025: up to nine employees across all locations, €4,925 eligible costs per employer and €1,970 medical; at least ten employees, €492.50 per employee and €197 medical. These are eligible-cost ceilings, not cash payments. Prevention has priority within the common cap; medical uses only the remainder and no more than 40% of the total cap. These are not 2026 ceilings.
Minimum covers statutory preventive occupational health. Basic adds remote appointments for medical matters. Support includes on-site medical appointments and diagnostic tests. Choose based on your company's needs.
